End of freedom?

[EDIT]

What can I say. I didn't believe that criticizing anything public in Sweden could make any difference, but as you see, my post is gone. It took me completely by surprise. Of course I believed someone could be p***ed off by it but when it spills over on the ones you love even I get soft. So I removed it and are replacing it with a link to a external site with information. No, no! No one put a gun to my head saying "remove it or I kill you", but if this law becomes reality someone evil in a far future has a great tool for doing so.

Good news though (for the moment). In the parliament 157 voted yes and 155 no so the law is delayed and sent back to the defense comity for some polishing.

[edit]
Well, well... They did it. With a few meaningless adjustments the law went through. Now everyone are shouting about how it could happen and how it violates several UN agreements and people are going to the police making complaints over how the government are breaking the law and constitution. They should have been listening more carefully last year when this first came up.

Looks like noone voted against. Wow, just wow. Awful news to start the day with.

Well, despite my confused above comment, it seems that this will indeed be in effect come Janary 2009 as of last night.
