Thought I would show you this early stage map over the forest areas. This will help adventurers lacking sense of orientation to find their way through the several forest areas. I think I'll make it accessible from a map item. The quality is quite poor due to rescaling it. I promise the in-game quality will be better.

I love maps! This is a great addition to the game. I also add maps via items, as I think it makes for a great discovery. :)
And the backround paper is great! Where did you get the background "paper" from? Do you have a copy I can download to use for maps myself? (And if you have others ... ?)

I have drawn it in Photo$hop by placing the 7 toolset area screenshoots in a opaque layer and tracing it so its quite correct for the player to follow.
The background was easily made by folding and messing with a thin paper and then putting it into the scanner.
