I went up early this morning. Imagined myself spending some quality time with my best friend, mr Toolset. But, when I started my computer it shut off by itself. I tried three times and then I smelled something like almond and a not so small smoke puff appeared before me, like a Chrismas ghost. I'm not so smart that I stopped here. I held the powerbutton for a couple of secconds (don't ask me why) and then I got interesting, sparkling sounds and a tiny, tiny fire :) So much for early morning module building. 09:00 I pulled the door open to the nearest computer shop and cried out "Gimme your biggest PSU!!!" They gave me one and took all my gold pieces and to my relief the computer started just fine with the replacement part.
I didn't get much module building done but I tried my newly written Walkthrough. It's a WT that describes the fastest way through the module (it's not much fun playing that way though) and it took 1 hour 21 minutes. I don't believe one can play this module much faster which gives me a hint about the average play time. About 6 hours. The famous Battery powered Brass Lantern last only 2 real hours but if the player plays the module smart it lasts longer by turning it off when not needed and using other light sources.
What more? Well, I found out how the addtional +5 Game Points mysteriously showed up. It was pretty stupid, I probably pressed the "Give me 5 points" line in the debug conversation :)
I also have built in some safety functions to prevent items from disappering when beeing copied from the inventory to the Thiefs bag.
I've also found that VFX's applied on the PC can make the game crash when transforming the PC into a invisible creature. And then I discovered that removing this effects sometimes fail. None of those things are cool. Not at all.
On the bright side is that tonight is our Goblin Bandits of the Delimbiyr Route evening and I'm sure that we finish the module tonight. We will be continuing with Mystery at Willowbow as it's a multiplayer module starting at 4th level.
