202 days over due.

I noticed that my counter flipped 200 days over due some days ago. But testing is going well, lots of smaller issues are reported and I fix them as they are mailed to me. Last night I did a huge job implementing the Frobozz Magic Help and Support system. I've been told that the puzzles in this mod can be hard to solve so now the player can chose to have a hint system enabled when configuring the game at the start. It's based on the original Infocom InvisiClues with small adjustments to my work. Using it comes with a price though so the player will have to work a bit for both finding and using it.

Other game configurations that can be made is:
- Game difficulty: Normal or Easy (Easy means that the player has som advantage in combat)
- Area Maps: Off(Default you need to find a map ut use it in certain unknown areas) or On (the map works as in NWN2)
- Map Notes and Floating Room Descriptions: On or Off

In this screenshot you can see the Frobozz Magic Help and Support officer and a small portion of the gigiant library of hints.

Interesting concept. Is there a way to change one's help configuration at any time?

I have not decided yet. But as I've already given in to implement a help system, why not?

A built in help system is agood idea for a game like this one. I also designed a help system based on giving hints first before giving the exact answer, although it was an external design. Is that what you plan? Hints before giving the actual answer?

@Lance,
well, as the system is very true to the Zork-game-spirit, it'll give the player a mix of non-relevant nonsense and a series of hints. Some of the hints are more a riddle and some of them ends with a more concrete solution on the problem.
Take a look at the original Invisiclues here:

Whoa! That in game system sounds like it's been Zorkafied to the max!
