Take a look at this!

Okay I know there's a few returning NW2-community members reading this blog. This is not for you, because you already know what's going on on the upcomming modules front.
This is for you, the came-by-chance-reader.

I have a long list of modules that I'm waiting for. On this list I have chosen three modules accompanied by great blogs that you just have to visit.

In no particular order:
Misery Stone - Jcelf's very promising and awsome looking Ravenloft module, and he's got Bouncy Rock Entertainment with him.

Hythum - Enoa4 is back buildning a NWN2 version of his succesfull NWN1 module, with help from his friend, the talented area designer Darmok. You know what you get - Great fun, great adventure!

Dark Avenger chapter 2 -If you didn't play chapter 1, do it! And I can tell you that, chapter two will be even cooler. Read a bit i Wyrins blog and you soon agree.

When you have done so, here's some more great stuff that prove that the NWN2 community is growing strong and promise to deliver the same quality mods as the NWN1 one.

Have fun!

NWNP Episode 46: Developers Round Table

The February 10th Round Table Discussion I was invited to but due to weird technical problems I couldn't participate in is up at the Neverwinter Nights Podcast. I highly recommend listen to it if you're even so slightly interested in what's happing behind the scenes of some of the great community made modules in development.

ZORK Show stopper! (not anymore)

I've posted a cry for help at the nwn2forums:

" I've upgraded to 1.10 and installing MotB plus the dialogue fix (on a blank my documents\neverwinter 2\)

Now I can't load my my work any more. It works fine in the toolset but when loading the module NWN2 says: "unpacking module..." I waited 2 hours before killing the proces.

I've tried loading from both .mod and directory with no difference. Help! Anyone?"

If you have any clue please help me save this project! Posting comments are open for everyone.

[UPDATE]

Wyrin_D'njargo is the hero of the day!
He responded so quick and helped me to do what everyone else probably would have done first of all - think before you panic. Embarrassing but true.
While speaking about Wyrin - Visit his NWN2-blog. Right now he has some pictures of the new content in MotB. He also writes about his module development and has some interesting stuff about texturing and module design.

Take a look at this.

There's too few NWN1/2-modules that support cooperative multiplayer. Why? I don't know, but there is a few modders that understand and care to build modules that work for both single and multiplayer. Ok persistant worlds are great but if you want the PnP-adventure feeling nothing compares to co-op LAN-play.

One of my favorites is ENoa4, the author of the Hythum series and a couple more mods for NWN1. I recommend taking a look at his conversion of Keep on the Borderlands for NWN2. It's a a classic low-level "hack them into pieces" mod that brings back those fun moments you had with your friends and a bag of dices around that kitchen table 25 years ago. Even though it's on the computer screen it feels like a real Gary Gygax story should do. The mod does not have the depth found in ENoa4's original modules but hooking up a LAN with your friends (yes it's more fun to play togheter in the same room) and killing time and some monsters is just so enjoyable. I hope he inspires more people to develop mods for NWN2 and that they will do so with both single and multiplayer in mind.

Please download KotB from the vault and and don't forget to vote.
